Who they are

Sedis Logistics is a logistics company that manages end-to-end freight transport, from departure by sea to final delivery, mainly between Belgium, France and Asia. It receives goods at the major ports of Antwerp, Le Havre and Marseille, with teams on the ground in China, Cambodia, Hong Kong and Vietnam to organise shipments upstream. The large majority of goods, 70 to 80%, come from China.

How we structured their ESG approach

The engagement began in late 2024, with a clear goal, moving Sedis Logistics up from EcoVadis Committed status to a medal. An ESG scan and action plan targeted the Silver level, alongside preparation for CSRD. Sedis fell out of the directive's scope following Omnibus, and the engagement then refocused on our core work, structuring the company's approach through ESG actions, with a strong focus on climate. A first carbon footprint was carried out in 2025 across the entire transport chain. Building on this baseline, a transition plan was developed through to 2030. Sedis also completed its climate diagnostic with a climate risk analysis, designed alongside a business continuity plan aimed at effectively managing risk and emergency situations. The year's work paid off with the EcoVadis Silver medal earned in February 2026. In 2026, Sedis Logistics is consolidating the actions already in place, with support now focused on a second carbon footprint exercise.
