Earn a VSME Medal and have your ESG maturity validated within an audited, structured and credible European framework.

Start your VSME Medals journey

Turn your ESG commitment into a clear and credible market signal.

VSME Medals recognise your level of ESG maturity on the basis of the European VSME standard developed by EFRAG at the request of the European Commission.

Whether your ESG approach is just beginning or already well structured, VSME Medals allow you to position and certify your level of commitment, based on the voluntary European reporting standard for companies not subject to CSRD.

They offer structured, progressive and audited recognition, aligned with market expectations.

What are VSME Medals?

VSME Medals are a European recognition system that formalises your level of ESG maturity on the basis of the voluntary European sustainability reporting standard for SMEs.

They are:

  • Structured
  • Audited by an independent body
  • Progressive, from Bronze to Platinum

The medal is awarded on the basis of a documentary review of data. The Platinum medal is awarded on the basis of a percentile ranking.

The Medals are an initiative created by SMT and supported by the SMT Collective, which brings together independent sustainability experts.
